Pablo is part of a large household of 9. To take care of this family, he spends his days maintaining the fencing, chopping firewood, and planting various crops.

Pablo has lived in Limay for 20 years. “I’ve felt great about the project, bless the Lord,” he states.“The project has helped me improve my land and has generated much employment in my community.” Pablo’s dedication to the project shows; he has reinvested much of his ecosystem services payments back into the project itself. With his payments, he has employed others and bought materials to improve his farm while concentrating on the importance of the trees.

Pablo hopes to continue working on the project for the rest of his life, after which his kids will take up the charge. As long as the project is in motion, he says, he will take care of his forest. He looks forward to seeing the results over the years.
